i love to knit. Since years. I come from a line of knitters, my grandmother and then my mom, who took it even much further. She spins, dyes, knits, and had a wool shop for many years and as long as i can remember, she's had knitting needles in her hands. If she was not busy creating other things, but that is for another post maybe, which could be titled "Super Mom".

So knitting. . . . .  i learned to knit as a kid but i never had to much interest, except for some fooling around sometimes. Over the years i started some projects, but i think the first project i really started and finished was a pair of socks for my then new boyfriend. i don't think he ever wore them, but it started a new love for me. 

 

Some years later, when my son was 6 or so, we, my mom, my son and me, accidentally (ahem) ended up on a crafting fair, and that is where i bought my first pair of bamboo knitting needles and official sock wool and from there on it never stopped. Nowadays i love knitting gloves and intricate scarfs, hats, and other projects and have not knit socks for a long time , although now, talking about it ,i suddenly get inspired again, and i just remembered my best friend placed an order for a pair of lovely socks with cats for her daughter. Sighhhh.
